Cat Cafés – They Should Definitely Have One In London
November 9, 2011
Pets are a really important part of people’s lives and it has even been proven that having a pet, or spending time with animals, can reduce stress, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, and improve your mood. So cat cafes make a lot of sense – they are predominently in Japan (39 in Tokyo alone), and the first one opened in Taiwan in 1998, but now there is also one in Ontario, Canada; so the phenomenon is slowly creeping west. They differ slightly – in Japan you pay an hourly fee to spend time with the cats, whereas the Canadian version is free, but if you become attached to a particular feline, you can adopt them for a fee.
I wonder how long it will take to come to London? Maybe I should look into it…
